The story traces the intense journey of two star-crossed lovers, spanning from Germany to Turkey. Menekşe (Sedef Avcı), a twenty-year-old Turkish woman from an immigrant family, works at a charming patisserie in Berlin. There, she falls deeply in love with Halil (Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ), a young Bosnian colleague. Despite their profound connection, Menekşe’s conservative father arranges her marriage to a Turkish man in exchange for a bride price. Facing a death threat from her own father, Menekşe is forced to comply with tradition and marry. Determined to be together, Menekşe and Halil flee to Istanbul to forge a new life. However, their escape triggers a relentless pursuit by her new husband and family, who are intent on committing an honour killing. The lovers must now confront the ultimate challenge to protect their love and survive.
